MLM / Network Marketing with an Ethical Positive Culture

MLM & Network marketing have a bad reputation among many people. Its worth noting that for everyone who hates it for whatever reason, there will also be someone who knows someone who has built significant income with it and is more receptive as a result.

But why the negativity?

There are several reasons which all come back to the fact that too often MLM is implemented crudely and with no consideration of peoples interest or what they say. In particular the "MLM crimes" include:

• pushing an opportunity on to someone who is just not interested
• not taking no for an answer
• contacting and talking with people/ friends just with the sole aim of signing them up
• inviting people to business opportunity meetings on false pretences (eg. the classic invite someone over for dinner and then do the presentation before desert!)

If you have been unlucky enough to experience one or all of these practices let us apologise on behalf of the industry of which ONE Group is a part of! If you have committed such acts we hope that you are beginning to change your ways.

We laugh that when Network Marketing or MLM is done badly it is about "starting of with 100 friends and ending up with 99 ex friends and one rep". BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY!!!!

We have been building a network marketing & MLM business with ONE Group & Miessence and in stark contrast have found that we have kept old friends and made many, many new ones. Our circles of friendship and support community have increased.

How?

Our key to success is simple... taking the focus away from us and our business.

We do not view people simply as "potential new reps/ customers" instead we just relax into communicating and connecting with people. In the process we practice the forgotten art of listening...

We know what we have... certified organic products that are second to none and a business opportunity that has changed our lives. But we also know that what we have is not right for everyone, so we dont jump on everyone who comes through our door about it.

We chat, ask questions and listen. We do not try to steer the converstation, we just let it flow naturally. In this process we begin to understand people, their background, their goals, their fears, their hopes. This is reward in and of itself... we have truly discovered that people are amazing when you get over yourself and pay attention to them!

On occassion we can see that what we have with our products and/ or business can be of service to someone. It might be that someone is concerned about health or the toxic soup around them. They have a complaint that we know might be assisted by InLiven etc etc.. Or they want more time or money ethically. Whatever the case when we know what we have might be of assistance to them – that is might be something that they want and are looking for – then and only then do we raise it with them.

Even at this point we would often ask more questions and try to understand their situation further. This process is inherently about being open to people, being honestly inquisitive with no agenda and making real connections. It might sound like "Zen and the art of building a business" but it not only works but it feeds your soul!

Of course the other thing we have going for us in our particular business model with ONE Group is that there are a number of flexible strategies to go beyond people you know and connect with people who are looking for what you have. So our early business was based on people who we met by doing the business, rather than friends and family.
